Chris Pavlovski's Rumble Signs $13.7 Billion Deal With Anthropic — Still Unconfirmed
Tech media report Anthropic is leasing data-centre capacity from Rumble and gets an option on 50 million shares.
Several specialised US technology outlets reported that Rumble, the company led by Canadian-Macedonian entrepreneur Chris Pavlovski, has signed a strategic deal worth $13.7 billion with AI company Anthropic. Neither company had officially confirmed the reports at the time of publication.
According to the reports, Anthropic would use capacity in Rumble's growing data centre segment — chiefly the large facility in Maysville, Georgia, acquired through Rumble's recent purchase of German data centre firm Northern Data. The six-year deal reportedly also gives Anthropic the option to buy up to 50 million Rumble shares over that period.
Rumble, a platform known for its popularity among American conservative audiences and its free-speech positioning, has increasingly repositioned itself as an AI infrastructure company in recent months, under the brand Quake AI. In late August the company had already announced a major new client for its digital infrastructure arm.
Pavlovski, born in Toronto to a family of Macedonian descent, founded Rumble in 2013. The platform grew significantly after 2020, when some US conservative users left YouTube amid disputes over content moderation.
Until either company issues an official confirmation, the deal remains an unofficial but widely carried report in the technology press.
